After a scheduled oil change, I now have a low oil level indicator. It says "OK" but is at the low mark. Before the service, the level was exactly mid-way between min and max. Is this normal or does it need to be topped up?
Firstly, make sure where you are reading the oil level is flat. because slopes mess up the readings. Assuming it's flat, the dealer should take it to the middle. If the car consumes any oil, you'll be below minimum. I would ask them in that case how they managed to send it out the door with insufficient oil.....the answer would be interesting.
