My kids bought me a genuine Mercedes Illuminated Star and Wiring Kit for Christmas. My husband is really good with cars and can fix just about anything. My GLC300 does not have distronic. He's wanting to install the illuminated star but wants to do it exactly like the dealership would install. He's searched the internet and called numerous dealerships for their wiring instructions for our model. No dealership will share or help in any way. My current star does have a wire going into it, but it does not light up. Can anyone please help with the wiring process the dealership uses? I would like it to come on only when the headlights are on. Thanks!

Do you mind, take a photo of your kit and post it here. I just worry you kid bought a wrong kit, which might not be for your model. You dont have distronic, but it has distronic radar behind the star logo, which is used for Active Brake Assist.

It's the right kit. They bought it from the dealer and verified with another dealer.
