I have two questions. 1) I set up automatic online map updating a few months ago, but now I can't remember how I did it. I want to check to make sure it is actually on. How do I do that? 2) What is the latest map data for North America. It looks like I got the last update in 2024. That can't be the latest. I have researched both of these questions to death, but I can't get a good answer. I attached two screen shots. 2025 GLC 300 in the US.
I spent an hour on the phone with Mercedes today, and they can't understand why I can't get map updates, either OTA or manual. They escalated it up to the next level of support, and they will get back to me in about a week.

Maybe the digital extra for online map updates has expired?
Usually we solve this matter with a MBUX &Telematics software update.
That is only part of the problem. There is supposed to be a way to download the updates and do it manually with a USB drive. There is no place I can find to do that. It seems the date of the most current version is a state secret. I spend days looking for it online - no luck. When I asked the Mercedes Tech Support person, she kept trying to ignore me. When I pressed her hard, she finally said she could not find that information.

Maps can be updated from a USB stick and this can be written on MB Me website or from DLM ( DownLoad Manager).
The Mbux and Telematics Software/firmware Update can be made OTA ( Over The Air) from Mbux Update menu or directly to any dealership over the Xentry System

Nothing I didn't know. The problem is the web site didn't work and gave me an error message as I explained. They called me today and said they fixed their computer, and I now have access to the download data. I am downloading it as we speak. It remains to be seen if this works. What I really want to know is what is the latest update number. It seems that is a state secret because NOBODY can tell me that.
I did a manual map update after they fixed their web site. It was about 35GB. There are still two issues I have to resolve. The first is as far as I know my OTA updates are still not working. I installed 2025 (V14.0) N. America. My old version was 2024 (V9.1) N. America. I don't mind manual updates, but this leads me to my second problem - I have no way to check when there is a new update available. The download page does not list what the download version is. The first time I saw it was when installing in the car. At that point I had invested over an hour downloading. As I have said many times I have spent many hours trying to find this information, but even calling Mercedes Tech support didn't help. They didn't have a clue.

Mercedes customer support has also zero knowledge about backend components like digital extra and updates.
For what it's worth, OTA map updates have never once worked for me in 5 years. Neither my 2022 or 2025 have ever received an OTA map update for my most-driven in region as MB claims. I've always had to do manual updates and there's at least four released every year. Not too bad IMO, at least we have the online self-service and don't have to deal with overpriced SD cards or dealer visits. Definitely disappointing though, another software feature that is falsely advertised...

I agree. But to their credit, they did escalate my problem and fixed their download site after a few days. I just don't understand why they don't publish what the latest update number is. I am assuming after my one year they will be charging to download the map updates.

You can check yourself on DLM, as ( at least I) don't know what type of Head Unit do you have - NTG7 or Gen20X
I found the DLM you are using. It is NOT the same one I got from my account online. Mine did not need an activation code. It looks like I have Gen20x. As usual, Mercedes makes it complicated. There must be at least two versions of DLM. One you get from the My Dashboard web site (the one I had to use), and the one you get from a direct generic download. The latter has the latest map versions listed!
