SW update dilemma?

To be or not to be the question is now.
For the last three months phone app has been showing sw update was available, however the car claims no updates available. Was ignoring this annoyance till now.Dealer was no help, as usual…as well as the call to MBUSA…
But enough is enough…

Should I just get rid of this car, or the phone?

Why was the dealer no help? I would go back and demand they plug the car into xentry and install all available updates.

When you click the blue i next to the not installed update what does it say?

Blue “I” gives the same reference to installation in the car, which is dead end.
Dealer is not capable of fixing traffic sign assist bug, claiming there is no update available. The issue here could be incompetence?
will ask for xentry updates next time!
Thanks for good suggestions.

Do not pay the dealer whatsoever for them simply plugging in into the computer and applying updates... it should be covered under warranty. If they aren't any help, I would try another dealer or document all information and call mercedes customer support. If you ask to escalate it, they are usually helpful in getting dealers to do their job.

Also worth a try: remove all mercedes me accounts from the car and then reset it from the settings. This will wipe all settings but digital extras are restored once you log back in. I've found this to force the car into an update check and was able to download MBUX 3.3 this way. I waited a few hours after resetting the car before logging back in and setting everything up. Got an OTA update an hour later.
