New 2026 GLC350e Internet Radio Question - And 2026 Cars in General

Just took delivery of a GLC350e replacing a trouble-prone 2023 EQB300. Glad to see the EQB go and while I wanted to stay all EV with a BMW iX, wife insisted on plug-in hybrid. And Mercedes is a family tradition.

After 1 week, absolutely love the vehicle. In combination of around town and highway driving in NJ spring weather getting 60+ miles to a charge.

But a specific question for 2026 vehicles.

I had enjoyed internet radio via TuneIn radio on the EQB using a T Mobile mobile data package. In the 2026 vehicle, Mercedes offers in-car wifi package (Comfort) and no problem activating it.

But TuneIn does not show as a radio option. MB customer service says it is not compatible with the head unit and my dealer checked out several other 2026's in the lot, both ICE and PHEV, and did not see TuneIn as a radio option.

The manual says Internet radio is available but both the dealer as well as MB customer service said to pay no attention to anything in the manual.

So just wondering if anyone can corroborate or whether anyone has been able use Internet radio in a 2026 GLC

I have the same vehicle and use Sirius XM which is free for 6 months and then $5 per month. App is preloaded and easy to use.

Can you not download TuneIn Radio app on your Android or iPhone and use it via Android Auto or Apple Carplay?

Yes. The answer is to stream tunein via the iPhone. Definitely has been disabled in many of the 2026 models.

No, SiriusXM bears no similarity whatsoever to Tunein.

The newest version of MBUX removed a bunch of streaming apps, including Apple Music. They probably won't return any time in the future, if it all.

As others have suggested, mobile streaming is your best bet.

Answer to internet radio is to top off the Mercedes data package and then use the Vivaldi browser either through the website of the broadcaster or via TuneIn web site.
