In addition to these comments, I would add that the Launch scanner connects directly to wifi for updates (no PC required), and can send scan reports to your email (through Launch's server) that can be printed and saved.

I just purchased the Launch TPMS scanner. I'll post comments about it in a new thread once I've had a chance to use it.

 

BTW, The BBA version comes with a soft-side storage pouch. The MB V2.0 does not come with a case, but I found this one on Amazon that fits the scanner and cable for about $20.

 

W205C43PFL - Understand what you have written, the fact that my wife has a new '26 GLC300 coming was mentioned in my April 21st post. I sent a note to Kingbolen asking that send me verification on the product I ordered whether it does or does not cover the 2026 CLG300 model year. I further said if it does not, I will have to return it and order another product.

W205C43PFL - Received feedback from Kingbolen: "We apologize; since your vehicles require DoIP unlocking, the Creader Elite does not support either of your two vehicles.", just as PotatoHeadII surmised. Kingbolen also said too early for any scan tools to cover the '26 model so, I'm going to return the shipped scanner once it arrives and wait until the technology catches-up with the '26. From a customer support standpoint Kingbolen was very helpful and promptly answered all my questions, I will go there again for my next purchase.

LAUNCH X431 CREADER ELITE 2.0 SCANNER UPDATE: I received approval from Kingbolen to return the scanner, I pay the return postage which is normal HOWEVER, the scanner's origination point to me was Andover MA and my return address is in Dresden, Germany = shipping @ $45.00. It is what it is......

streborx, I thought of that but saw one listed for $99 and either way the results would be the same + if listed I'd have to contend with someone saying it didn't work, etc., etc., etc. so best just to return it, I have a tracking number. I'll just caulk-it-up as a learning event but the next time I'll need to understand just what the scanner capabilities needs to have for those models, I was surprised at the Kingbolen rep saying that scanner wasn't compatible with either model so I'll just wait. The prompting check engine light was certainly attributed to the low battery, after the charge and driving, no problems at all.

FUNNY THING - My next task at hand is to address the non-functional 4.5-inch protruding AMG Rocker Panel Trim that is decorative only, no place to plant your feet. My height is 5-6 and that hinders my ability to get out of the car without dragging the backs of my pants on them while planting my feet. I just sold my '14 ML350BT and it had the old-style metal topped flat sideboards that were about 4-5" wide that I could plant my foot getting in/out. I checked on the new design for the W254 GLC and it's about 3" wide, another decorative trim. With that, I'm trying to revert to the flat trim that comes on the base model. Other than that, so far I like the car and it's a very comfortable ride.

FINALLY, THE LONG AWAITIED REFUND COMMETH IN THE AMOUNT OF $139.00......... Up to this point, my numerous emails to Kingbolen's Sales Manager who eagerly processed my original order WENT UNANSWERED. In my last and final email, I forwarded the USPS Tracking Information showing they received the scanner on May 10th and I informed them that a dispute had been filed with PayPal and as of today the refund appeared. At this point I can say something is better than nothing but at a loss of $45.00. In short, I won't be purchasing anything from Kingbolen.
