Have a GLC350e pinacle trim 2025 model but there is no dash cam - there is a sport but it's just plastic wrap - would it work just installing this one? https://mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/...camera-9051816 or will i need some coding also?

I would think you would need professional installation sounds expensive just buy a GoPro

You'd need to install the oem camera facing the windshield inside the mirror housing. If you look at the windshield, you probably have a single triangle cutout with a windshield camera. Under it, there is a black square plug inside the mirror housing where the OEM camera goes. Even if you manage to have the camera installed, the car would have to be coded. This may be especially difficult since the dashcam feature is sold on the Mercedes Me store as a digital extra.

I installed the fitcam in my 2022 c300 and moved it to the 2025. Still works great!

I would also love to install this OEM camera instead of Fitcamx, which extends the bottom of the housing and is not integrated with the MBUX. I was wondering if I could purchase the OEM one and get the MB dealership to install it, the question is whether it would by picked up automatically by MBUX and the Dashcam Digital Extra would also automatically appear as available in the Mercedes Me store.
