MY18 GLC43/63 Dealer Guide
Posting this here from the regular GLC section. Starting on pdf Page 31 of the Dealer Guide for the GLC43 for the first attachment. Second attachment is the newer guide as of end of May 2017 and for MY18 GLC43/GLC63.
GLC43 Noted Changes, availability July 2017
GLC43 Noted Changes, availability July 2017
- Performance Exhaust System available with AMG Line (note that the stock exhaust on the MY17 is fairly loud in all modes, especially downshifting in Sport Plus)
- The 0-60 time has been revised to 4.8s instead of 4.9s (looks like revised testing not improved performance over MY '17; other testers were already reporting this time)
- Smartphone integration becomes available (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto)
- Black ash now comes with an aluminum combo in the doors
- Carbon fiber dash also combos with alumnium

Thanks for posting. The more I think about it, the more I realize the GLC63 may be overkill for me, while the GLC43 hits the sweet spot. This will be a legit daily driver for me (I average about 1,500 miles per month). The 43 will get better mpg, lower car note per month, and still deliver more than enough performance for me. Other than different grill, different wheels, and different exhaust tips everything else looks pretty much the same. Kind of surprised at that actually.
Awesome that you can get the LED headlights as a standalone option now. Under standard equipment Blind Spot Assist is listed. However you can get Active Blind Spot Assist as part of the Premium Driver Assistance Package. Anyone know the difference between the two?
Also wonder if the Performance exhaust will make it louder or simply give you more control on when to be loud and when to be quiet.
Looking forward to ordering a '18 this July.

My understanding, because the P3 includes the Distronic, which calculates the change of distance, everything else upgrades to "active" or "plus", It could intervene your steering and braking. Although I could be wrong, hope someone has the P3 can explain it.

The stock exhaust on the GLC43 may be beefed up compared to the GLC300, but it's not the synonymous with the AMG Performance Exhaust that is now an option on the MY18. Similarly, if you research and build out a C43, the AMG performance exhaust is currently an option there, where I believe you get slightly different mufflers and the ability to manually control the flaps in the H-pipe. The standard exhaust does not allow the manual adjustments and I believe the flaps still exist, but are computer adjusted based on drive mode and RPM.

Heads up guys...according to the official Mercedes-AMG Instagram, the GLC63 sales release is going to begin in a few days. Time to start ordering (if you haven't already had the chance to)!
Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog confirms the release date to be June 16.

I'm confused. I thought it had already begun. It showed up in the ordering system about two weeks ago, I placed my order early last week and I got an order confirmation sheet, but it didn't have a production date yet.
Is this different to that? Is it the release of actual production dates and build date?

Based on that characterization I think that either you guys got special treatment in being able to order early, or your order was logged with your dealership, and then on the 16th your dealership will be officially able to order the GLC63 for you from Mercedes-Benz and also order allocations for their lots (including showroom models).
