Greetings, my wrapped '18 GLC63, and a question...
Hello all, new member here. I had a GLA45 before my GLC63, and have been a long time AMG fan. I recently wrapped my GLC63 in 3M's Matte Military Green. In any case, I have a question regarding what I imagine would be a hefty undertaking. I'd like to update my 2018 AMG GLC63 SUV interior to the 2020 model's features. In a best case scenario I'd need a new head unit, the new 12" screen assembly, new dash top, and the new AMG steering wheel. I know this will be costly and time-consuming, but I have to ask, has anyone tried this? Am I fighting a losing battle here?
Anyway, greetings again and I look forward to hearing back from you all.

Nice wrap! Probably zero chance you can swap all those parts in from the 2020, it's a completely new operating system and we all know how tightly integrated electronics are on these cars. That's why I leased my 2019 GLC63, since I know I can then get the updated one in 2022 with no hassle.

Thank you! Deep down I think I already knew that, but I just needed to hear it from someone else lol. If it could even be done, it would be very costly. I love the color on your GLC63 by the way. Has the Capristo opened up and gotten any louder at all?

2020 GLC63 Exhaust Sound & New Tachometer
Spent a couple of days in the updated C63S. The digital tachometer felt like a toy. Maybe I needed more time to start liking it. The exhaust sound was disappointing, compared to pre-facelift which I drove for months. Very minimal pops & bangs, even in Race mode. Even with the exhaust button on, there was just less volume. I suspect that my observations would be the same with the 2020 GLC63, as mirrored in the reviews of the exhaust sound on youtube.

It can work with a module which is available but the steering vibration won't work for lane stay assist or whatever that dumb function is called that shakes the wheel when ur straying into another lane

Just test drove a c43 with the new dash. The central tach's cool in a video game novelty way but everything else is meh. Seems very much like a band-aid till the full refresh gets here in a couple years.
The 2020 version panamericana grill is a serious frown face downgrade for me personally too. The existing model is way more aggressive looking.

Damn, that is one of the best wrap colors that I have ever seen... what did that run you (if you don't mind me asking)?
...and I think we are going to need some more pics

Thanks! It's an old fort engineer badge from 1898, it has some significance to my family. I've since removed it to streamline the side profile.

Much thanks, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I had the top half of the car wrapped in gloss black, I really like the contrast.
I was quoted at anywhere from $4-6K for the wrap, until I found a small local shop in Oregon (where I lived until last month) run by a father and son. They did the entire wrap for $2200, and they did an excellent job.

Looks great! Love the Matte look. Are the door jambs, under hood, etc., also done or are they left the stock color? How does it hold up to chipping, etc?
