"AUDIO 20 RADIO NAVIGATION CAPABLE NTG5" Android Autoa/Apple carplay
I have 2017 GLC with "AUDIO 20 RADIO NAVIGATION CAPABLE NTG5". Note that this is NTG5 and not NTG5.1 or 5.2. I am not sure if that matters.
While searching on web, I came across some modules available in market from 3rd parties, which activates android auto/carplay for NTG5.1. However not sure if I can use them on NTG5. I could not find any Mercedes official commitment to activate Android Auto/carplay on 2017 models while 2018 GLC is coming with Auto/carplay inbuilt.
Does anyone have an idea - how to get Auto/carplay activated on "AUDIO 20 RADIO NAVIGATION CAPABLE NTG5" ?

Unfortunately, I believe you have to get a new head unit to make it work. A 3rd party MIGHT offer some kind of adapter, but maybe not for 5. Check the C43 forum and long post by Star4life. Big disappointment with MB on their ACP/AA offering, IMO.

They changed manufacture of the Audio-20 NTG5*2 from Mitsubishi to Panasonic. The new Panasonic can support CarPlay / Android Auto. Theres an option code on the datacard that shows it is the new one. It is code 154.
MY2020 goes to a new system completely.

I also have same problem - Android Auto not enabled on Audio 20 Radio Navigation Capable NTG5 - Part 522 [Model X253] - GLC 300 Petrol 4Matic.
Does anyone have any suggestion what to do or replace with which unit?
