GLC63s coupe edition one delays - any insights

997 turbo with glc63s edition 1 on order
GLC63s coupe edition one delays - any insights
Put in an order for a glc63s coupe edition 1 in August 2017 and have just been told for about the 4th time that production is delayed and the dealer knows nothing. I get sent screen grabs from the internally production system at Mercedes where the production date keeps being changed by Mercedes by a month at a time. It now says an 11th August build. So having been told potentially dec / Jan delivery originally it’s now blown out to potentially October or going on track record till next year!!
Any insights or similar situations people have been in?
No delays on standard glc63s it seems just edition one. Dealer thinks it may be a dash update? Strange Mercedes just keep pushing it out and saying nothing. Thinking of cancelling the order as excitement factor or being one of the first reduces as each month passes.
Again any insights would be valuable from others?
