Hi all - we have a ‘12 E350 w/45k miles. Considering a trade to a ‘19/20 GLC or GLC43, not the coupe. Comments? Anyone have a DOG? Thanks.

Hi There, I looked at both, whilst the coupe is arguably a better looking car, reduced rear seat head room and cargo space were not suitable for our family of four. If you are only using the rear seats occasionally and dont need to pack the car for 4 + dog the coupe might be for you. The looks dont warrant the premium charged in Australia for the coupe - more money for less car.

I own a '17 GLC43 SUV and a C450 sedan and I'm in OR. I'm not sure I understand what actual question you're trying to ask. If you have any specific questions about the GLC 43 I'll be happy to answer. We've been very satisfied with ours so far. It's been rock solid for 14k miles to date.

I like sedans, but was going regular coupe (not SUV Coupe) or GLC43 SUV and went with the latter. Easier to carry stuff in a SUV and if you do a lot of driving, it's nice to have a higher vantage point/seating position with all of the other SUV's on the road. If you go GLC/GLC43 over sedan, I would wait for the 2020 model year, as I believe it will be a mid cycle refresh and offer better options/updates. Any other specific questions, let me know. Good luck!

Since our first MB, a 2003 E, we've always had E sedans, but we have been talking about a move to GLC, Just my wife, two small dogs and me. The GLE just feels too big - the GLA too small! I run errands in a small Honda but any significant drive is in the E300. Just wondering how others have felt if they have moved from a sedan to SUV.

The GLC will have the same wheelbase as the W212 E-class. The width is nearly identical. The overall length is slightly shorter with the rear hatch instead of the trunk. Rear passenger leg room is very similar.
I've driven the W213 E 300, the current GLE, the GLC300, and I own a GLC43 and a C450 W205.
I agree with you about the GLE. It feels like a truck with soft suspension. Very big and very "floaty". It's not a sporty vehicle in any sense. The GLC (especially the '43) is much tighter and more responsive. I find that low speed handling between the GLC43 and the E300 to be very similar. The E 300 sits slightly lower while the GLC43 has ABC which makes it very nimble when cornering at speed. One main distinction, the GLC 43 will feel like a rocket compare to the E 300. It is very quick if you want it to be.

Hope this helps.
