Having buyers remorse.. GLC 63AMG
Hello everyone . I upgraded from a Porsche macan S to a 2019 GLC 63 and now I'm regretting such a huge upgrade.. Mostly because I didn't realize how bad the mpg is on this car. It says 16/22 but I'm only getting 8mpg so far driving on comfort mode.. Not that I can't afford it but I'm so bummed that I'm spending so much unnecessary money. Is that gas mileage normal for this vehicle ? 8mpg??

i have only had mine 24 hours and i saw that. i am also in eco mode. But i don't think those numbers are right. fill up the tank and see how many miles you actually get in mix use.
I will be driving Houston to Dallas tomorrow for 300 miles so I will get a good idea of my highway miles... even though i will be doing more 90mph than 75mph

There is a silver toggle switch on the center console that you can push forward or back to adjust the driving mode.

I'm getting 18.9 mpg on my GLC63 which I daily drive to work. About 5800 miles so far, but I'm pretty pleased with the fuel economy considering the power that lurks inside. Admittedly I keep it on comfort mode most of the time, but I have 'played' with the car with Sport + mode to show friends/family what this does from a standstill or show off the awesome exhaust. Give the car some time, and the mpg should steadily increase under normal driving.

My first tank I was just over 10 mpg, I was shocked how bad it was. I expected it to be poor but not that bad. I’m on second tank and am getting about 14, all city driving. I’m hoping that it continues to improve as it works through break in. I really was expecting about 15-16 mpg on my shorty city commute.
keep in mind mileage is generally poorer in colder weather

Comfort with autostart left active is what I was calling eco mode. it would be irrelevant for highway driving. but theoretically, they shutdown at stops should help for 1-2mpg in daily errands

I don't know Sheila Tan, but 7 to 8 MPG is extremely bad IMO. Are you using high octane and not the regular? Could it be just a bad tank of gas? Even though your car has a powerful engine, that seems insanely low for me.

Hang in there. Mileage gets better with some miles on the engine. Also, there is no ECO mode per se on the 63. Mine started about 10 on the first tank and I'm up to about 15 with 500 miles. Cant wait to cover a couple of thousand where things should improve

You don't buy an AMG for fuel however I do think that 8 MPG is nuts, my old G65 gave me better mileage. I would go back to the dealer and see what they say.

Just finished 800 mi round trip for Scottsdale Az to Newport Beach Ca. Hiway 21.1 mpg 80-85 mph. Driving stop and go in the OC 16.8 mpg. Proly will improve as car only has 1100 miles.
8 mpg is what I get on the track in my GT-S!

No, it was my first tank of gas that was provided by the dealer It has gotten better and I'm at 15mpg on my second tank of gas

Premium but that was the first tank of gas that the dealer provided. I'm doing better with my second tank at 15 mpg stop and go
