GLC43, CG5 Credit for Missing 234 Blind Spot Assist

Hi,

New 2018 GLC43, sticker has a line under optional equipment, "CG5 Credit for Missing 234 Blind Spot Assist." Just wondering, since blind spot assist is a standard feature, why would it have not been included? The only thing I can think of is maybe an unavailable part. So, a couple questions for anyone who may know or have any thoughts:

1. For what reasons would a standard feature be omitted?
2. If it was omitted because of unavailable part(s), I'm wondering if the other parts would be included. What I mean is if the BSA mirrors were not available when it was manufactured, would the vehicle possibly still have the wiring and maybe radar sensors/control module installed?

Thanks,
David

Couldn’t get heads up display because of lack of supply. On going issue with that option. I suppose it could be the same with BSA, but seems odd they would allow car to go out without a standard safety feature.

Not the same. HUD was pre-alloted to cars. I specifically went on a build that had it by default and was told I could not re-add it if i dropped it. Apparently my sales guy kept trying to add it to an earlier build and it eventually worked immediately after he removed it from another of his allotment.
