Is Tesla Model X faster than GLC AMG?
So my mom has the GLC AMG Edition 1. Probably the most expensive version you can buy, and it has that custom race inspired look. It does look pretty baller though, but I still kind of wish they got the Tesla Model X instead. I drove both and I remember the Model X being really fast, like took no effort fast. And it has autopilot, which I don't think Mercedes has yet.
They bought me a Model 3 and it's one of the coolest cars. I love the autopilot, and I think that features alone will deter me from getting a BMW or Mercedes if they still only offer ICE based cars with no autopilot. I get BMW and Mercedes are more prestigious and may have nicer materials for their cars, but electric is much smoother ride and autopilot makes it feel you have a personal driver you can control. I remember all those Lexus commercials with their commercials of their engines not being rough, and stacking wine glasses over a revving engine. EV cars are much more luxurious than any gas based engine.
I think my parents are still too accustomed to the idea of gas stations. I'm glad I don't have to make regular gas station stops anymore, and I may only have to do that for my motorcycle or my parent's old Lexus SUV I drive if I need to haul something. But otherwise, driving a Tesla is alot cheaper than buying gas, no need to worry about driving somewhere and regretting how much gas cost. I am hoping Mercedes will make a true electric vehicle that will be on par to a Tesla. Like keeping all the luxurious features that people like of Mercedes, but having the features similar to a Tesla. I know they are working on some, but still in concept mode.
