Hey guys... I wanted to give you guys a sneak peek at my ILS retrofit project that I have been been working on with another member from this board name star4life. We are about 95% completed with the project and we have the headlights on the GLC and they are working. We are currently wiring up the cameras on the windshield to get the range detection and stuff for the auto-high beam feature.
Star4life is an engineering genius and was able to create a plug-n-play harness for the ILS lights and was able to code them to my vehicle. I will provide a more detailed write up in the coming weeks as we get cameras working properly. Enjoy the pics (oh and don’t mind my dirty engine bay, it’s been too cold to wash it). Also, as a bonus, I installed the GTR grill and have the GLC63 spoiler (not installed yet). Dame on the grill did you have any issues with the the camera underneath the MB Grill emblem or was it plug n play ?
Have heard of alignment issues.
Is the grill relatively easy to do yourself?
I am not mechanically inclined at all- lol.

Is this the $700 advanced lighting option you are retrofitng in a 43? or does this go beyond that?
also, you did the GLC63 Panamerica grill right? not GTR panamerica grill
I just checked the MBUSA site and I am not sure which lighting option this is for year 2019. When I bought my truck in early 2017 the ILS lights were only obtainable if you bough P3 option package which was $2900+. Since I didn't special order my GLC43 (the GLC was not my first choice), I chose which ever truck was on the lot that had the better options. I preferred the designo interior over the GLC they had with just the ILS lights. I know for 2018 they had the all options a la carte. The lights were like a $1200-1900 option. I bought my lights on ebay for like 200-$300 each so, I didn't spend too much on this project, maybe $1500 R&D/trial an error.
Also, the grill that I ordered per the ebay listing is a GT GTR style grill. For people who want to order, most of the listings on ebay are for the GT GTR/GTR style grill. https://www.ebay.com/itm/GT-GTR-Gril...72.m2749.l2649

The grill from ebay, which I mentioned and shared in the above post was a direct plug-n-play. I had zero issues installing it. The hardest part was getting the OEM grill off due to all the tabs that need to be unhooked. If you have a long flat head driver, it should be very easy. I followed this guy's removal instructions and was done in 20 mins. ->
@DameMD, is there any reason why you didn't go with the euro-spec lights with the clear side indicators?
R&D+ Price. I couldn’t find any Euro spec on eBay that were reasonable. All of them were $1000+ for each light with no modules. There needs to be 3 modules for each light and they can get expensive. The euro lights also remove the Amber upper light and that will needed to be coded as it will throw and error on dash with the current pin layout.
Also, I was the first glc star4life coded. We wanted to make sure everything worked properly first. If I run into euro lights for cheap I will switched them out.
Dame it is hard to tell from your pic above but did you get the silver one or the piano black ? Looks like there are 2 color options on EBAY.

Says it come with AMG for the front grill. Does it ? Not going to sway me just curious mate.
it comes with the AMG badge; however, they forgot to package it for me. I told them I will not give them a rating or will give them negative feedback if I don’t receive it. They did reply back and say it was a packing mistake and they owned up to it. Supposedly they shipped the the badge to me. I am still waiting for it though.
