GLC43 Intermittent accelerator pedal
This has been extremely intermittent, only happened two to three times in the last 18 months. Driving along, take foot off accelerator to slow down, then reapply accelerator - no response from the engine at all. Its as though the accelerator pedal has gone to sleep, or is not connected at all..After about 2 seconds, it springs to life again. Very strange, and a bit disconcerting when you expect power to come on and it doesnt.. Ive had a quick look around the pedal, disconnected and reconnected the connector, see how that goes. Anyone else experienced this?
In my quest to get to the bottom of this, i was experimenting with very slight accelerator input whilst the engine was running and in Park. I found with the slightest of slightest accelerator input, the engine starts to hunt, only by a couple hundred rpm, but it is very noticeable.. with a tiny bit more input, the hunting disappears, and if you take foot off accelerator the hunting disappears and the engine returns to normal idle..very strange.
