Well, my parents wanted to go on a road trip from MD to NC and we decided that we will use my glc43 instead of their RX350. I immediately started looking for crossbars and roof carriers/boxes. I went to REI first and was overwhelmed with the amount of different bars and boxes. When I was leaving the parking lot, out front of REI was a GLS 450 with roof box 650 and mb crossbars. It looked really good and I decided I will just go OEM. So long story short I bought the mb crossbars from eBay and 400 Roof Box from mynewbenzparts.com. Needless to say, I was super pleased with this setup and it really helped out adding more space for luggage, folding chairs and stuff. Only issue and it wasn’t for me is that you cannot fully open the sun roof. This wasn’t an issue with me as my parents wanted me to run A/C the whole time and I had the sunroof tilted for some fresh air. It was 90 degrees for 3 days. Pics below if anyone is interested.

I originally wanted Thule for that reason, but there were so many different type of crossbars and roof boxes at REI. Plus the guy that was assisting me was talking in circles. Also, I was told that I needed some type of kit to get the aeroblades to work and it was on back order. I gave up after that.
I'm looking at the Thule Aeroblade Edge also. How hard is this to install/uninstall? I'm only gonna use this in the winter for ski trips and maybe once or twice in summer.
