Keep it or turn it in?

Our 2017 GLC43 which is due to end it’s lease in 4 months will have a payoff of 37k + tax. My wife loves the model and trim to death and it’s either buying it or getting the 2020 glc43. Of all the Benz’s in our possession this has been the least trouble some and for ones we can free ourselves from car payments and put more on our savings. I’ve sorted the two most annoying part of the car, we got rid of the brake dust and crabbing when turning issues by replacing it with after market pads and tires. So is this vehicle worth paying it off or keep the money and just lease a new car?

Is really changing the pads from stock will fix the brake dust problem?
It takes me to clean a good one hour for 4 wheels and in 2 days they are getting dirty again.
i cant believe you had no issues with the car for 37k miles.
I have interior cracking noises at 8k on glc63. Not sure I wouldve kept it, but I financed it.

Good luck to you with the decision. 2020 model has way too much electronics and headlamps are not as cool i think

haha thats really a financial decision that only you can make. I'm good with finances in every aspect of my life except vehicle. I always do dumb things like trade after a year when I get bored. I can max out my 401k but I can't drive a fricken car for 3 years LOL

I probably cut 90% of my brake dust with R1 concepts.

You sound exactly like me. I am smart and responsible until you put a car in front of me and then I become an Idiot.

In less than 3 years I have went from a GLE 63S, to a tuned X3 M40i and now to a GLC 63S. This is my favorite car so far out of the 25+ that I have owned.

Turn that thing in before the warranty lapses and avoid the inevitable huge repair bills that come with German cars. Or buy it for $37k and trade it in for $42k + like I did.

why dont you buy a cheap daily driver and keep it for eternity and go all out on a weekend car that you can lease and replace every 3 years?

Or make more money and have both? If you enjoy driving, having a cheap daily sucks. lol. (Unless you've enough money your GLC43 is your cheap daily)
Still working on the all out weekend car myself.

The glc43 is a daily. We have three other vehicles, a 96 Miata M edition (weekends), a Mini Cooper S that my daughter takes to school and a Subaru Forester Sport for our second daily.

That's another thing,we are gonna be over around 3k miles over since we only signed for 30k.
Maybe the best way is what johnz1954 said pay it off now and hopefully sell it higher (if we decide to change cars) since the blue book trade in is higher than pay off.

Isn't your warranty to 50k? I'd buy it out and keep it until the warranty is up.
