oh DME

Thought this would be funny to throw up in the AMG world. The results are in!
First dyno sheet is DME on full 100 octane (500awhp). Fuel issues galore, they leaned on the car so much im surprised my car didn’t come a knocking like another unfortunate GLC owner with the same tune.. DME blamed the car but I’d definitely say it’s the tuners problem. They love adding the torque to make you feel fast, but really its just garbage. I like to call them the Bang Energy for the tuning lol. I received a full refind after 9 months of trying to get a working tune.
Second dyno sheet is Jerry from Eurocharged on E35 blended fuel at consistent 598awhp. Car runs consistent, no fueling issues and most of all a SAFE tune.
Car was on the same exact dyno under the same conditions.
I'll let you guys decide. Make sure the people who are tuning your car know what they are doing.

Additional info would be helpful. Are you saying you picked up 100 awhp switching from one tune to another without any changes in hardware?

awesome! It seems to be a reoccurring problem lately with their tuning as we are returning a ton of cars

I noticed on charts that the first one has CF: STD Smoothing:5 and the second one has CF:SAE Smoothing: 5.
Does this make any difference in results?

it’s basically to adjust to real conditions with the awd. So these were actually corrected higher.

Interesting. Could you re-post the second dyno results with x axis metrics as RPM to assist with comparison? Also, I’m curious what those numbers would be with 100 octane. Does an E35 blend yield more power than 100 octane?

I could ask the MCE if they could email it to me. I know they keep all on file. E35 is 94 octane and as a flex fuel tune it gets more and more power with added octane. So the answer is yes with that fuel it would creat more power.
