2020 GLC43 winter wheels and tires
HÍ, I’m new to the forum as I have just purchased my first Mercedes vehicle. I have a 2020 AMG GLC43 on the way, and need to purchase a set of winter wheels and tires. The dealership wants way too much for their winter tire package, so I have been looking at aftermarket options.
So far, from calling around the Toronto area, most vendors suggest either a 19x8.5” wheel with the 235/55/19 tire. However, some have recommended going with a 20x8.5” setup with 245/45R20s. For those of you running aftermarket wheels with winters, what offset are you using in order not to have a huge gap between the fender and outer edge of the wheel? I have found lots of pics on this site, however I’m still confused on which way to go.
One vendor suggested a 20x8.5 setup with +25 offset, stating that this would bring the wheel further out in the rear. I’m not sure if the 25 offset would work in the front.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. There are no local shops (Windsor area) that have experience with this model vehicle so they’re all telling me different stories.
