Tinting help.... color match?
For the folks that have matched the color (note you need to look from inside the vehicle, not outside) what brand or film type did you use?
Just trying to get as close as I can is all. Thanks!!
But neither matched the rear window color perfectly from inside. I mean better yes, but annoying it's not 80-90% the same color from inside. MB has some unique color I guess in their factory tint.
I'm getting there. Appreciate any other information the group has. Got 120 miles on it, getting PPF tomorrow and cant wait til the engine is broke in! :-)

They make an S7 and and S9, but they didn't match as well (even if they have higher heat reflection rates). Will see how long it lasts, but they don't use Dye's and they have a lifetime warranty as long as you own the vehicle.
Lumar, Suntek and Maxpro I couldn't find a perfect match across their ranges with a single application. Lumar and Suntek both make great products. For me, I wanted the same color on the inside as the factory (looking outside) an I wanted the outside to match as well.
Due to the fact that my factory tint came in at 23, I opted for a 20 on the front (which actually measured 18) and this works perfectly on my car. If my factory tint was closer to 20 I'd consider doing 15 on the front so it matches, but I didn't have to do so.
HTH's and thanks everyone for the thoughts and guidence!
But you can see from the inside the colors are almost identical. The sun is on the left 3rd of the B Pillar so the front looks a little "lighter" at the top.
From the outside... almost identical.

others have brown / blue and green slight tint to them.
The new 3M stuff is way way off. I had him install it and then take it off. Suntek was also way off.
I took the advice from my normal guy and went to look at the Rayno guy.
Unfortunately the Rayno S5 is their trash tint, but it's soooooooo freaking close to perfect both inside and out that I bet even those who are looking for a difference will have a hard time seeing it.
It's as close as I think we are likely to find.
