2021 GLC63S Coupe conflicting information rumors verses the truth

Hello Everyone,

I need your help. I have been discussing the desire to order a 2021 with a dealer in California, and one in Atlanta. The information I got from them on both questions is completely different.

1st question was:
When can an order be placed for a 2021 GLC63S Coupe, or when will you get the dealer ordering guide?

2nd question was: Will the 2021 GLC63s Coupe get the new dash like the GLE450 did for 2020?

Can anyone answer either of these questions with any confidence verses speculation at this point?

Thanks for you all in advance for your help. Your thoughts, and opinions will be welcomed and appreciated.

Spring/Summer for the dealer ordering guides, depending. They will launch the car at one of the upcoming auto-shows, then begin to update the ordering info. They rolled out DOGs for 2020 in May and then updated them in July at the very least. Ordering is typically open in late summer, but thats not quite the same as spec'ing an allocation. Order/Build requests turn into allocations if/when the dealer has been given the right to build/sell a car.

Pure speculation, but my bet is that the 2021's will not get new interior. This won't happen until you see it on a base model GLC300 couple/SUV.

2020 got a minor refresh and MBUX. So I expect that it will carry on until 2022/23.

When it get refreshed it will not get the interior of GLE or A class, that design is already 10 years old being debuted on current gen S class.

If you check out 2021 C and S class interior spy photos, that should give you and idea what next gen interior will look like. And chances are good that GLC will get that as well.

Ugh I hate seeing giant screens replacing physical buttons and knobs. The reason tesla did that was to save on tooling to develop hard buttons. Hate that this became a trend.

If we look at the history of updates and facelifts the 2020 options should carry through to 2022/23 and the entire interior, exterior and maybe engine will be new.

Also, rumor also points to C63 may get A45s 4 banger with hybrid turbo like M256 in E/GLE. So if you like the V8, get your GLC63 next couple of years before it get neutered.

The GLC is definitely not going to get the GLE dash. It just had a facelift for 2020.

Yeah, my confident guess is that the ‘21 will be exactly the same as the ‘20 aside from a probably price increase of a few hundred dollars, and possibly the addition of the Interior Assistant as an option.
