For those waiting on a build...

My timelines for what it's worth to those waiting:
Placed order: 5/20
Build completed: 6/25
Arrived at Baltimore VPC: 7/15
Arrived at a dealership: 7/21
Delivery: 7/22
Thankfully my dealer still had an allocation that was not sent to production yet. Seemed like it was the same one from back in February when I first started looking. Test drove a 2018 GLC 63 and a handful of Macans before deciding I needed a V8 and MBUX

I have now an ETA for when the car will arrive to Baltimore VPC, mid August. I brought up the additional discount for getting a 2020 model when 2021's are already available to order but that did not yield the expected response. No additional discounts were offered due to low inventory, no manufacture incentives......I was offered to order a new 2021 model and wait until end of the year for delivery.
I have waited long enough and 2021 model is more expensive and with little or no change vs 2020 model, so I am staying with my 2020 order and will just take the depreciation.

did not get specifics on price difference probably 2k increase in base price. I could have the same 8.5% off MSRP on new 2021 order but there is a possible shortage on magno paint and I want the magno selenite paint option.

Hello everyone! I am very happy to announce that I took delivery of my 2020 GLC AMG 63s Coupe yesterday and it was worth all the wait! the car is amazing, the first time I started the engine holding down the left paddle shifter for the emotional start was mind blowing. The car drives so nice, the performance seats are so comfortable, the ride quality was excellent, the tech is superb and the exhaust is always there reminding you what is under the hood. I did not have much time to familiarize with the car because I took it immediately to get a full PPF, it will be a few days before I see it again. For all those still waiting or planning to order hang on there, this car will not disappoint!!!!

After 5.5 months wait due to COVID, finally picked up the awesome beast today. Here are some pics for references. In person this model is WAY WAY better and aggressive.
Drove 100 miles to take it home.. WOW..love the exhaust note.

The horses are now in the barn, 2019 E63s
The AMG Drive Unit controls is to what aviator787 is referring. However I don't think the absence of which means that you do not have the controls on the center console or within the general menu controls. Unless of course that is something specific to that particular model. The AMG Drive Unit controls started sneaking in on the C63s a couple of years ago and then started to show up on late 2020 production E63s under the option code U88 so unless you spec'd it for you build it was not included and you'd have to ask around and view pics of other GLC63 AMGs to get a feel for their presence in the model line.
There's a thread within the G forums of another member adding it to his car as a dealer installation dealer installed AMG Drive Unit .

Thanks for the info. I was curious on what aviator787 referencing to tell that. I DID NOT order the AMG Drive Unit because I felt it was not necessary option as the center console buttons were already there. I do have the AMG Performance Exhaust. I did not order the Multimedia package because I thought Apple car play was enough BUT after the drive home and seeing that the SCREEN did not go FULL size for Google Maps (black side bars), I'm think I should have ordered it.
