Does “Hey Mercedes”, open your sunroof or sunshade or whatever you want to call it, if you ask it to do so ?

and if it does, do you have the GLC SUV, or the Coupe , AMG or non

I have a 2020 GLC43 AMG and I can’t get it to open, I am told by “Hey Mercedes” this function is not available in this vehicle

bummer..

I have a 2020 GLC43 and it does not open the sunroof nor does it move the sunshade. I think MBUX for the 2020 GLCs has been more of an afterthought, than a full integration unlike with other MB SUVs. For instance, my wife has a 2020 GLE450 with the PANO sunroof, and Mercedes does open the sunshade separately from the sunroof it asked.

My 2019 63s Coupe doesn't even have an electronic shade. It's is a reach up and open or close.

Now I wonder if is is supposed to be electronic. Does anyone know?

2017 GLC43 SUV (which should be same as 2019, appreciate you have a coupe) and my roof and shade open electronically. Haven't tried voice control but highly doubt the 2017-19 will have voice activated functionality.

It seems like you can press and hold the unlock button on the remote and it will open the sunroof and windows....
Same with closing them, you hold the lock button on the remote....I think. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't for mine.
I didn't think about trying the "Hey Mercedes", I turned that off. At first either my wife or I were always saying Mercedes and the darn thing kept asking what it could do.
I will ask my salesman for you next time I see him if you want.

My actual sunroof opens electronically via the button or holding the unlock button down but the shade does not.

Non coupe GLCs that have the pano sunroof have an electrical shade. Coupes don’t come with pano yet. Maybe a 2021 feature🤷‍♂️

They say the slope is too much and there is not enough length for a Pano to work with the Coupe. My GLE Coupe had it but it was a lot longer.

That being said, since the sunroof opens, the shade should too, correct?

Yeah that’s what they said, but I’ve seen renderings of the 2020 GLC coupe with the pano, so they just repeat those talking marketing points. That being said, the 2020 GLC coupe does not come with the same shade that the non coupe or the GLE come with. It is more of a classic, old-style, non-electric interior roof extension.

Same my 2020 GLC63 doesn't do that as well, and when you open the command list for vehicle functions its not there as well.
