considering 2020 glc63 - few questions about common issues

1. Did Mercedes fixed crabbing issue for 2020 MY?
https://www.change.org/p/mercedes-be...des-benz-c-glc
2. How many miles I can expect to make on one set of tires?
3. I have seen people complaining about start/stop system. During my test drive i noticed that it works only in comfort. Am i correct?
4. Any additional issues which i should take into account before making my mind about this car?

2019 E63s
1. It's better, not perfect.
2. Not to be a dick, but you should not be buying this car if you're worried about how much the tires are and how long they last. The tires that come on the car are $1500 a set so be prepared. I had them on both my E63s and now GLC63. They last just fine, and I beat on mine heavily.
3. Literally the first, sorry the second thing I do is the turn off stop/start. First is turning on the exhaust lol. I haven't had any problems with it, but I don't use it.
4. I see you currently own a Mazda 3. This is going to be a huge change for you. My biggest problem is AMG's transmissions. Don't get me wrong, lighting fast shifts, great power delivery. That being said, unless you're going to be driving it like an AMG should be driven you should keep it out of S+.
Overall, I would recommend you test drive one. Also, do not pay MSRP for whatever car you get. Don't let them feed you bull****. I was able to get 4% off of mine and that was when they literally JUST hit the dealerships.
If you have the means to get this car, DO IT. You really won't regret it at the end of the day.

AMG GLC 63s Coupe
Crabbing is part of an AWD with Summer tires. MY GLE had it and my GLC has it.

I average 8-10k per set of tires on any AMG I have ever had.

I hit S+ before I even start the car so start/stop never comes into play.

I have owned ~25 cars, a lot of them being Sporty SUVs and the GLC63s is my favorite car to date. It has the performance, the sound, the seat height; that make my legs more comfortable than a sedan, the looks and the utility that I am looking for. The only thing some may not like is the harsher ride(mine is lowered so it's even worse) and the noise level in the cabin. It rides more like a sports car, think M series BMW and there is a little more cabin noise than the E series and up so some may not like it for a road trip car. My GLE63s was the ultimate road trip car.

No matter what, make sure you get the performance exhaust.

1. Agreed, it is better. I seemed to be a problem the first few days of driving on my summer tires, but with my winter tires I have no problems.
2. I wouldn't expect more than 30K tops, but that could be me. I've had these tires on other cars. This is a big heavy car and with any kid of spirited driving, they are going to wear quickly. I would worry more about how much the brakes cost!
3. This is where the drive unit is nice to have, i programmed those buttons to do this quickly when i start the car.
4. No issues that I would be very concerned about. The trans can be a little funky when the car is cold or has sat awhile (like now) or in comfort mode is you are babying it in 1-2. It is like the crabbing, once you get used to it and figure out how to avoid it, then you don't even notice it. It is more of a feel/touch thing, so its hard to explain. But driving it around like a madman the trans is great. I've got about 6K on my 2020 and it has been worth every penny. I agree, there are deals out there, i've heard of people getting as much as 10% off. I did close to that and mine was an early delivery as well.

* Yes crabbing is still noticeable you kinda learned how to avoid it by just how much your turn the steering wheel. The OEM tires(run flats sucks) really make it exacerbate things overall, and I just switched to A/S tires and the crabbing effect is gone(full lock)!!!
* The OEM summer tires lasted 6k miles with my driving style, mostly the rear tires are shot but the front still got a lil bit meat left to it.
* I think the 9spd on the CLC63 is awesome! My old Macan Turbo PDK clunks a lot more than the 9spd(butter smooth) on the GLC63. I have to tell you though all this performance tranny are programmed to be driven hard and fast, so you might feel a lil weird coming from a Mazda.
* All in all I love my GLC63! I always find an excuse to take her out for a spin that's how much I enjoy this car.

P.S. I think it's a sin not to get the Performance exhaust for this car, so make sure its equipped with it.
