Just took delivery on a 2020 GLC43. Previously owned a 2018 GLC43 and enjoyed the car enough to buy another!
I am recognizing an odd problem with the 2020 GLC43. When the center console “Manual Button” is pushed to drive the car in the manual transmission mode, there is a distinct lack of torque/performance from the Automatic mode.
The dealer has tested the car and confirms this “acceleration/torque delay” but indicated that tests confirm all the software is up to date and there are no problems detected.
The 2018 did not have this problem. Not very enjoyable to drive the 2020 in the Manual mode.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I’ve heard some cars limit power in the first 100-500 miles. Maybe it will resolve after that?
My 2020 glc43 has been great in manual mode since I started using it toward the end of the break in period. Never used it before 500 miles.

I took the car to 3 different dealerships trying to get a solution. All 3 service managers drove the car and confirmed my observations. In the end they confirmed with M/B that the car is performing the way it was intended. I never could get an answer as to why they would want the car to perform so poorly compared to my 2018 GLC43.Originally Posted by Sean379

I am going to get rid of it when the 2022 come out this fall. Either a Porsche Macan S or BMW X3 M40i. We still have the 2018 GLC43 and think it is a great car, but no more M/B for me.

Go Macan or better yet, go GLC 63S. I tried the M40i and with a tune, it ran like mad but it was the nosiest, most uncomfortable car I have ever had. I got rid of it in 6 months as my back and butt were killing me at all times and the cabin sounded like the windows were down when they were up.Originally Posted by jtbb

I had a X3 M40i and got rid of it after 2 weeks. The infotainment system was almost identical to my new 2002 530i Sport. BMW really need to up their game, their fit and finish is really lacking compared to Mercedes. The thing I hated the most was that fake engine noise piped into the interior through the sound system.
I had a Macan Turbo and it was a nice truck. Tuned it through Cobb and it went along really well. Was a lot of dough compared to the GLC43 and to be truthful I preferred the Benz.
