Is my 2020 GLC63 cursed or am I?

So I purchased my GLC63 SUV back in January. I broke my cardinal rule on not buying the first year of next gen or tech update cars (due to bugs and issues). Of course I have the crabbing issue, which was cool to find out. Around 3k miles, I had issues with my ECO start/stop feature that caused the vehicle to shut off completely when accelerating out of start/stop. Took it to the dealership and was told 3 cylinders were misfiring and the injectors needed to be replaced and the car was in the shop for about 3 weeks (no issues since). At the same time, my Lane Keep assist and Lane Change assist functions started shutting off at various times while driving, dealership stated sensors were dirty (no issues since). Passed 10k miles a week ago, took the vehicle in for the Service A, then 4 days later I get a battery warning indicator. I lose A/C, the Infotainment system, switching drive modes, and parking sensors. Took it back to the dealership, came back the next day to get my phone charger, as the car was coming down off the lift, the drive belt (serpentine or whatever) fell out and looked like string cheese. They put me in a loaner GLB, but as soon as I drove it off the lot....check engine light...took it back and got a different loner. Dealership told me it was a faulty belt, replaced the belt and no issues so far. I'm well within warranty, so I'm not sweating it too much, but I am worried for the future. When I'm behind the wheel, you can't get the smile off my face and I absolutely love this car, I just don't want these types of issues to ruin my image of Mercedes (this being my first). Is this happening to other owners or am I just the unlucky winner?

That sounds horrible. I haven't had a single issue with my 2019 63s and I drive it like a crazy man. I believe I am at 16,000 miles.

You're just one of many. My 2020 GLC63 has been good overall. So far the only problem I had was a squeak going over bumps, which was caused by a loose hood latch.
Other than that, about 2 weeks after I tuned the car with Renntech, I was going down the highway, and during a gear change it made a weird noise and then got a blinking check engine light. After I cycled power on and off, it went away and hasn't came back.
One thing I've been wanting to ask another 2020 owner - when you manually downshift from 5th to 4th, is it a hard downshift for you? Almost like a knocking feeling?
I had a 19 E63s before this, kept it completely stock. Long story short, ended up trading it in because of all of the BS I had to deal with.
Isn't it funny we pay all this money for these cars and then have to deal with stuff like this? It's really a sick joke. Please let me know your thoughts.

I think you are just unlucky. The thing with AMGs is that they share so many components with other models, so the 2020 GLC is really not a first model year tech update. The engine is the same as in the C63, which was refreshed for 2019. Same for the 9MCT, which has already been in the E63 and the C63 FL for several years. The MBUX also isn't new. The CLA/A has had it for a while. There are a few owners of 63 models that had some of the same troubles with the engine. Misfires has happened to a few across different AMG models and the ECO start/stop issue has also happened to a few across different 63 models. I think there's been a bad batch of a few of the components such as the injectors. I had a bad oil level sensor from the factory in my '19 C63S Coupe, but that's about the only real mechanical issue I had with the car. There were a couple of software bugs that got resolved with updates during my 10k service, but so far the car is largely solid. The biggest headache were my aero side blades falling off and the body shop having trouble fitting the replacements, but that's all taken care off now. This being my first MB/AMG I felt a little uneasy going into the experience reading about quality and build issues with these cars from others, but this car has so far been much less trouble than my previous two Audis. I had many more issues with my 2013 Audi RS5 at this stage. As long as the issues are not reoccurring once they got addressed, I wouldn't worry too much. You may have been unlucky and got a bit of a Monday production car. Hopefully, it's not turning out to be a lemon.

I haven't noticed anything like that when downshifting to 4th. I'll keep a closer look and if it happens or not, I'll let you know. It is funny that my old 2014 Ford Fusion had ZERO issues up until the CV joints started failing around 100k miles, so I would think paying more would pay for more reliability....and at least real exhaust tips (but that's a whole other story). Either way, I know all cars aren't created equally, so hopefully my car got all this out of her system.
