2024 GLC43

2020 GLC43 amg exhaust

I have a question regarding the AMG performance exhaust. I love it when it starts although sometimes I'd like to have a quite start.
I know that the paddle shifter makes for an angrier startup

but can we have a quite startup as even without the paddle it seems a bit loud

The mustang has a quiet start feature. No such thing for Mercedes.

Not sure if it's me but the car's startup sounds the same when pressing or not the paddle shifter?
Do I have to change the setting in the comfort mode default start?

Interesting thing about the Mercedes emotion start is that it sounds different every time. I find it’s louder when the engine is already warm. If you’re comparing when the engine is cold, there might not be a big difference. But there is definitely a difference.

I just posted this to someone else as well. On my 2020 GLC43, and on my last car - a 2017 C43, the valves would get stuck open. When it is starting loud without the "spirited start" - you can open the valves and then close them and you will find it gets quiet. The next time you start normally it should be quiet. I had the dealer change the valves on my C43 and nothing changed - they get stuck.
