GLC63 Tire pressure confusion

Hi all,

Trying to get some clarity on the correct tire pressure for my 2020 GLC63..

Dealer always fills them to 39/40 on all four corners, ride seems harsher than it needs to be at those pressures.

I see conflicting information when searching about which pressure stickers to follow, one of the two in the door jam or the one behind the gas cap.. I've attached photos of all three.

I'm hoping to get some clarification once and for all,

Thank you in advance!

L

On my 43 with 21" wheels I run 42 PSI in the front (to try and mitigate tyre crabbing and uneven wear) and 38 PSI in the rear (again to improve tyre wear).

On my fuel flap the recommendation is 32 PSI all around (except when car is fully loaded). If I were to run my tyres at that pressure, the outside edges would wear ludicrously fast.

You should check your tyre wear by measuring the depth to the tread indicator on the outside, centre and inside areas. The right pressure for maximum tyre life will be the pressure that gives you even wear. For maximum performance, you'd generally run a lower tyre pressure to increase the surface area contacting the road.

Gas Cap is the master to follow. I adjust from there. I am different tires on my GLC43, so numbers probably not relevant. I tested 0-60 on different pressures and chose the pressure that gave me the best time / bite.

I was also told by an MB service manager that the gas cap label is the one to follow. I ultimately decided to use the three-person, 168 mph recommendation (41-39) instead of the 155 mph equivalent (35-31). The 35-31 recommendation is so much lower than the other choices that I am worried about excessive tire wear.

I run 35/31 psi with great results.

I've been running 36 psi cold (39-41 psi hot) for almost 2 years and haven't noticed any excessive wear on my tires. My GLC63 has the 20" setup, but that pressure seems to be a perfect middle ground of comfort and performance for me.
