Innovation Pack GLC43

So the new car is nearing build start date (ordered in Feb this year), and noticed some of the new market collateral which came out a month ago, has the "innovation pack" as an option.

According to the info it has some enhanced HUD features, interior assistant, and augmented reality navigation.

For those that have this, what did it cost as an option, and do you use it? Is it worth the extra $$?

Can you provide a link so we can see what you're talking about? I have a 2020 GLC 43 and I don't know if I have all of these things. What I can say is that I like the augmented reality navigation. While I do expect that Apple and Google will offer this soon, for now it's a 'nice to have'. Wouldn't spend extra money for it, but if it comes as part of a package I think you'll appreciate it.

I like the augmented navigation, it’s rather neat, the Mercedes is nice as well, just wish it did more in the 43, won’t open the sunroof as it does in the 63

the HUD i don’t have, not my thing anyways, I don’t like anything obstructing my view out the windshield

and if I am not mistaken you need the augmented navigation or the MBUX upper flavour to get the front camera to work as a dash cam, only for the 2021 model, not the 2020

.

Really? I LOVE my HUD. For the first couple days I wasn't sure about it, but now I won't ever have a car without one. It 'disappears' in my eyesight until I need it, and the speed limit signs are really helpful. So much easier than checking the dash all the time (sounds silly, but it makes a difference to me).

Not sure what "advanced" HUD features the OP is talking about for 2021 though.

From the GLC MB Brochure

Re the Enhanced HUD - I was told it is similar to below - and doing a little bit more research this pack appears to be around $1400 AUD as an option.

Hmm. You've already ordered the 2021, yes? If so there's no point in me saying this, but if the slight difference in the HUD is the only real differentiator between the 2021 and the 2020 I'd get the 2020 simply because you'll have a year's less mileage on it when it comes to resale value. Plus you could get it now and not next year. And the interior assistant? I think that's far too gimmicky for me - how long will it be neat to wave your hand around the cabin?

No doubt the augmented reality nav is cool (like I said above), but it's available on the 2020 too.

Either way, you're getting a great car. I love love love mine!
