Winter tire recommendations for AMG GLC63S

I searched the threads for winter tire/wheel recommendations for the AMG GLC 63s and could not find any for that car. The big issue I found is that MB charges $3500 per wheel for the 21" forged cross spoke wheel. Probably have to move down to a 20" wheel which is OK for the winter. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Tire Rack is a good place to see what's available for any given car. Just enter your model etc. and see what's available. There are 4 options from what I can see and the Mercedes OEM winter tire appears to be the Pirelli Scorpion Winter. I haven't checked, but Tire Rack also offers complete wheel and tire packages for the winter for various cars if you wanna preserve the expense 21" wheels and go with something smaller and cheaper for the winter. Generally it's recommended to go smaller and narrower.

I went with a 19" wheel and the Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires on my old GLC43. The wheel size was good, but I was not impressed with the tires. They basically lasted for two seasons. I stretched them for a third season but they were marginal at best--I spun out twice--and they're now down to 4/32" tread depth. I was much happier with Michelin Pilot Alpins on an Audi S4 so I will probably go back to those for my GLC63. They don't seem to be available in a compatible size for a 19" wheel so I'll move up to 20".

I'm selling my 19" wheels if anyone is interested... MSW Type 71 19x8. I believe they will work on any GLC other than the 63 models.

I have 21" Pirelli Winter Scorpions. As a winter tire, they seemed to work great here in Michigan, I had no issues with the weather. I reused my original RWL style wheels for winter, since I bought a set of edition 1 RWE style wheels off ebay for summer.
Can't speak to longevity, but the previous winter tires i've owned, the 3rd season was always stretching it.

Prior winter tires I've had where Dunlop Winter Sport 3D and Michelin Pilot Alpin's on my old STI and by far the Michelin's where the better tire.

BTW, looking at Tire Rack here for options, the SUV model on the website is my car. I took it there for a photoshoot last winter:
