Check front left suspension strut turret

Was having a look at the top of the left front suspension turret and found inside the hole where the suspension strut is located there is a bit of surface rust on the retaining clip. Ive worked out that the aircon pipe that runs directly above it is dropping water into the hole when it condensates. Not a very good design. Anyone else suffering the same problem?

I probably wouldn't worry too much about that since it appears to be just dirt and even if it's rust it doesn't hurt anything but I would be more worried about the plug with the 2 wires exposed, now that is a design flaw waiting to happen.
