Can those of you who have had downpipes installed (without cutting the factory pipes) list the prices you paid for the downpipes and the installation? SSR mentioned it was 8-10hrs of work if dropping the transmission and I wanted to get an idea of what the total cost would be including the purchase of the downpipes...
Thanks!

It really depends on the labor rates of where you are located. 8-10 hours with transmission drop is correct. Alternatively 4-5 hours if cutting the factory downpipe (without transmission drop). The labor rate at the shop I go to in the SF Bay Area is $180/hr

I had it priced out between the parts and the labor which I was told was a day and a half it was almost $5k. I know you gain noise for sure but the added power is of no use unless the car has a tune. Too much $ to make it worth it from my prospective.Originally Posted by Relak

And this is what is wrong with car shops in the bay area....ridiculous that they charge that much an hour...some attorneys reduce their rates that low...bay area shops have no shortage or rich douches with too much $ so they can get away with doing that...makes it difficult for those without unlimited budgets...alright rant overOriginally Posted by firebert814
