Not mine. Under the vehicle it only shows Range. The unlock status shows up ONLY if the vehicle is unlocked. There is a "lock status" icon at the top of the screen, but you have to press it to see the status (and to unlock/lock yourself). I was rather fond of the old app where you just long-pressed the lock icon on the home page to lock or unlock the car. Seems like they've just introduced an extra step where one wasn't needed.

 

Correct. It shows a padlock that's either locked or unlocked. Perhaps not quite as obvious as in the old app.

 

Circled in yellow. Mine is currently unlocked, so the padlock is open. It shows a closed padlock if the car is locked.

Yep, just noticed that tiny lock icon next to the license plate (yellow circle). Would have been kind of a no-brainer to make the Lock Status icon (red circle) show as unlocked (and make it a bright yellow color or something). Nitpicky stuff I know, but that's why these forms exist

My absolute favorite is hitting the 'Info' icon next to any of the items in the Service menu. I mean, come on Mercedes, REALLY??

 

Well you'd be surprised how many clueless owners are out there who have no clue what coolant etc. is or does in a car.

 

Android users just uninstall the old app and you’ll see the new one.

 

I deleted the app on my Samsung S8 and installed a new one from Playstore.
No change. Still the same app.

Canada hasn't' gotten the new app at all, not even for iOS. It was first rolled out in Europe, now USA and eventually Canada. You guys always seem to be last to get this stuff.

 

Wow it sucks. Sorry my friend. I have iOS but my wife android and we did that and got the new app installed. Saw it posted on the MBUX page and androids users posted that it was correct so we did it and she got it that way. It didn’t show an update with the previous app installed.

 

Yup still waiting, us Canadians are always last.....

I wonder what triggers the picture of our model to show, Is it a setting somewhere?

 

There are 3 features missing from the old app, valet protect, geofencing, and speed alerts. Hopefully they’ll add those services back and maybe add new services like alarm or damage notification.

 

My app has it under More.

 

Based on what I discovered with some debugging, the image comes from the online configurator. It sends your specific vehicle configuration to it and the service returns renderings for that configuration. Unfortunately, for some configurations like mine, the service currently throws a 500 error.

It appears all these features are coming soon for the US app version. If you scroll through the services in the app, several are marked as coming soon.

Looks like UK and Canada from their profiles. My USA version has no More button, either. Looks like they haven't rolled everything out yet in the USA. Europe had this new app for a while. I'm surprised Canada gets more features than the USA. Usually it's the opposite.
