ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY
SummaryMercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2018-2020 AMG GLC 63 4MATIC vehicles. The power supply cable on the starter might not have been installed correctly, possibly allowing the cable to chafe against the starter housing and short-circuit.
ConsequenceIf the power supply cable short-circuits, it can result in a stall, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, a short-circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
What Owners Should Do MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the starter harness and power supply cable installation, and correct it as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 9, 2021. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. Has nothing to do with power steering Recall.

This was just a recall notice as MB is working on obtaining replacement parts to remedy the issue.
Once they have the required parts they will contact me again.
I'm concerned if I should be driving the car as the notice say that there is a risk of short circuit and fire.
What do you guys think?
