Mercteil - AMG Performance Seats

Hi all,

Have a 2021 GLC43 that is highly optioned except for IDP (was a restriction on ordering) and AMG Performance Seats. I did an internet search for these seats and a vendor out of Latvia came up showing stock. I have been in contact with them through Facebook Messenger and it appears they are able to get the North American spec seats. The seats are supposed to be brand new and are priced around 5000 Euros for the pair.

My question is does any of the members on here have any experience in dealing with Mercteil? I would like some feedback about the company if possible before I order the seats for my truck. Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

No idea on the company, but according to folks who have attempted this in the past, the seats can't just be swapped. The wiring harness and connections are different. The performance seats have different adjustments/functions, so the seat controls on the door are different as well. Specifically, the performance seats have a fixed headrest, so that part of the seat controls on the door is not there and instead in most models other than the AMG GT, the performance seats have an extendable seat cushion, so there is an additional control on the door to operate the extension. Also, in case Mercteil isn't specifically listing the seats for specific models, be aware that they are not the same for each model. As said the seat cushion extension is not present in the GT models, and in the 2019+ C63 and GT63 they have available ventilation, so again that affects the wiring harness and the controls on the door.

i was so bummed they took away the performance seats on the 2021s!!

it was available on 2020s but when i placed my order, my20 ended production already.

i agree with the post above, you have to be 100% its compatible. I have 0 experience with the company but they are the only vendor i came across that carries the barbus exhaust, merceded oem steering wheels, mb forged wheels n other oem parts. They seem legit.

Here in Canada you can still order one with the performance seats. Be interesting to see if they’re still available on the newly refreshed 2022s.

They are still an option on the Coupes here in the USA, but they are disappearing from the sedans and SUVs. They did not sell on those models, so MBUSA has decided not to offer them in the USA anymore on certain models. They are gone from the 2021 E63 as well. The average American is far too out of shape for them.
