2022 GLC63S Coupe Ordered

I just put in an order for a 2022 GLC63S Coupe for my gf. I'm curious as to what mods/accessories are recommended as far is maintaining reliability & warranty.

My plans are:
  • Renntech ECU+ Module
  • Renntech BOV Adapter
  • ModalWorks High Flow Intake System (Eventuri looks awesome, but sealed setups don't produce as much sound from my past experience & any hp increase/decrease is negligible between noth systems most likely & the hood will be closed 99.999% of the time anyway - Plus $3k vs. $1k)
  • Renntech Suspension Module
  • Vossen HF-5 22x9.5/22x10.5
I'm also doing your typical tint, ppf, & ceramic coating. Any other modifications that are "plug & play"? I'd like to find a valvetronic exhaust similar to GTHaus, that was she can leave the valves closed when she drives & I can open them when I drive it every once in a while.
I was considering downpipes, but typically it's labor intensive to get the stockers out in case I'd have to put it back on for warranty purpose. I don't think I'll do those. I was reading up on the TCU & CPC tunes, but Renntech unfortunately doesn't offer this. Are there any other tuners out there that are "undetectable" so to say, although I know that it's not fool proof & if catastrophic failure occurs...well I'm sure they can find out it was tuned. My dealer is "Renntech friendly" so to say, so I don't have much worry about the reliability or warranty going with Renntech, but are tuners like EC, DME, Weistec, AMR, etc. similar in "undetectability" like Renntech is, or is there something proprietary there that no one else has? Also, I heard that Renntech will soon be selling warranties with their stuff, so that might be some ncie piece of mind depending on pricing. I would love to go with AMR to unlock the torque limitations & shift points, etc. BUT my gf will be driving it primarily, so I think a few tenths of a second quicker doesn't outweigh maintaining stock-like reliability & warranty (or at least peace of mind).

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Also, any little interior/exterior mods/accessories that are aimed towards OEM+ appearance... hit me with them. Thanks & look forward to receiving it in December/January (build date set for October).

WHYUMAD, where you able to get pricing on your order? I'm waiting to order a GLC 63S SUV, but my dealer doesn't have prices yet and no build slots for MY22 GLCs.

No pricing yet. I just put a deposit down on the ‘22 GLC allocation my local dealer had that’s scheduled for an October build date. I don’t think pricing will deviate much from 2021. I was sad they got rid of the diamond stitched white interior though, but nothing seemed to change much from 2021 options.

OK, thanks. I had an August build date for a MY21 GLC63 SUV, but changed to a MY22 when they released the 63S SUV to the US. Dealer still has my deposit so I'm waiting for an allocation to come open.

WHYUMAD, I've had my GLC63 SUV since last May, and started modding it around October of last year. Below is what I have done, and super happy with it all.

-Full PPF / Ceramic coating - Totally worth every penny and would do it again
-Eurocharged Stage 2 ECU, TCU and CPC tune - Since Oct - No issues, really opened the car up and turned it into a monster
-ModalWorks intake - CF looks amazing, not sure I would notice much of a difference without the tune but have noticed my 60+ acceleration subtle improvements
-Remote coding to add in Race Mode and a few other options that were only available on Euro spec or S model
-Remote lowering from a member on here, super easy, definitely recommend
-New brake pads - Hated the brake dust so much switched to some ceramic pads that I bought on Rockstar Auto - Posi brake pads - Haven't had any issues or noticed a decline in performance
-Chrome delete - Had the grill and door handles wrapped in black, love the look
-Painted brake calipers to match body color

Know quite a few other owners who have done an ethanol tune and are pushing way more power, few guys out there have done Pure turbo upgrades as well... this thing can turn into a savage beast.

I ordered a 2022 GLC 63s coupe as well today. What annoyed me about the ordering process is that I could not get the Burmeister audio system, the dashcam, the 2 rear USB C ports, or the hands-free access. The dashcam isn't a big deal but the other three I was looking forward to using but instead I have a credit for the options against my purchase price. My car gets built in October, won't arrive until early next year. My dealer didn't have prices either but said the pricing about. 2% above the 2021's price. The hardest part was finding a dealer who would forego the market premium, some in my area wanted to charge as much as 25k. It took me a while to find one who agreed not to charge that fee on top of MRSP. Ridiculous if you ask me.

Curious - when you say you couldn’t get those options…are they just not available at this time due to delays?

So my dealer told me these options are currently unavailable for order due to the current chip shortage.

Except that 3 or the 4 items you mentioned are not options, but Standard Equipment on the 2022 63s Coupe. Only the Dashcam is an orderable option. How does MB plan to reconcile that? Give a discount from the final 2022 MSRP? Crazy. I have a 2022 63s Coupe on order also. My dealer hasn't said anything to me yet about unavailable equipment. My build is currently scheduled for the first 10 days of October. If I recall what the dealer said to me was that MB will inquire with me approximately 2 weeks before the build as to what may or may not be available from my order specifications. We'll see!

They're giving me a credit vs my total price (i.e. the Burmeister is an estimated $850 credit based off 2021 pricing). I honestly would rather keep everything that the model normally includes but I don't also want to wait too long into next year to receive my car, especially with winter arriving.

I was inquiring with my dealer in Michigan about a glc 63 and apparently all the 2022 63 models are not being produced according to them. I heard this was true for the s63 and e63 but now it may seem the glc63 is included? I am hoping this is false information.

I have a set of those Renntech BOV VTAs if you are interested. Never installed and still in box.

Hey bro, also from MI. Called around to a few dealers a few weeks ago and they had allocation. I placed my order with a dealer in TX though. Nonetheless, haven't heard anything about the next model year being skipped or not produced.

Whoa! Only the 63 Coupe was dropped. You can still order a 63 or 63s SUV and the Coupe comes as a 63s only. Now regarding production, the production line at the Bremen plant in Germany, where the GLC's are produced, was temporarily idled due to a shortage of parts containing microchips on July 28th. That production stoppage is expected to last approximately 2 weeks. I would be very skeptical about any information you get from any dealer that isn't supported with a direct verification from MB. Dealers are constantly supplying false information to customers, not because they want to, but because MB notoriously leaves them in the dark.

Yeah, I was only speaking about the GLC Coupe, not the SUV version since that is the model I was interested in purchasing.

Thank you! Been waiting for that final number on the 63S SUV.

Question: What is the difference between the Coupe 63S seats and the SUV 63S seats?

AMG Optional Feature Highlights:
Coupe: AMG Performance Seats
SUV: AMG Performance Seat Package Advanced (63 S)

The dealer let you built your car with Burmeister audio system, the dashcam, the 2 rear USB C ports, and the hands-free access included? I tried to get them and was just given a credit towards my purchase price.

Btw, does anyone know if order a vehicle using a dealer’s allocation without a certain option and if you decide to add that option back (ie the Burmeister audio system) do you lose your allocation when try to modify the order. This what my dealer told me but I’m not sure if they are lying or not.
