GLC AMG couple cargo floor/hatch removal
Hi all. My wife and I just purchased our first AMG, a 2019 GLC 43, and we are absolutely in love. We decided that a great way to break in the vehicle was to go grocery shopping, resulting in a bottle of garlic-infused olive oil spilling all over the back cargo hatch cover...........total bummer. We tried cleaning it but nothing has removed the smell, so we ordered a replacement cargo cover to fix the problem permanently. I tried to remove the current one last night but couldn't figure out how it is attached to the vehicle; I found the connections behind the rear seats, but can't seem to find a release lever or hardware that would release the cover. Can someone please help me with this?
Also, I'm worried some of the oil may have spilled into the plastic housing under the cargo cover, to the right of the trunk..........I think this is the housing for one of the rear passenger-side light fixtures. Do any of you know what is inside of this housing, and if it's easy to remove to clean anything that may have dripped in there? Thank you all in advance for the help.

Really appreciate the quick response! So no hardware to remove, nothing to unscrew or untighten, just raise it 1-2 inches from flat and pull straight back to disconnect?
