Oil quality check 63s / no dipstick

Guys, without oil dipstick in our 63s, is there any way how to check engine oil quality ?

I would like to check if dealer really changed my oil / filter. Do I need to go to different shop for the check ?

Thx

Well, let's first focus on why you think the dealer did NOT change your oil.
HAve you had an issue with this dealer before? Did they give you an invoice listing the services and the oil/filter listed on there? How many miles since the PREVIOUS oil change, the one before the dealer's "questionable" one? How many miles are on the car now? And how many miles on the oil? And what TYPE of oil is it?

Let's assume that you continue your suspicion that they DID NOT change it.
Even if you managed to get some oil from the crankcase (difficult, will explain more later) it normally takes the oil analyzing companies a couple of weeks to test the oil.

When in doubt, GET IT CHANGED at a local shop, get some oil, send it to be analyzed, take METICULOUS records, and once you have the oil analyzed, you can go throw it in the dealer's face.

Now - about getting some oil out. It's difficult. Most "fast oil change houses" DO have a vacuum that can suck oil out through the dipstick. But I've never heard of or seen one that can suck it from the oil entry port at the top of the engine.
You COULD if you have a friend who is a good mechanic, get him/her to loosen the oil drain plug BRIEFLY, to let some oil out, then tighten it. Tricky, but doable.

Keep us posted on the saga, please!! Thanks

thx for your reply.

Well, unfortunatelly, it is a normal and very often practice in local MB / BMW shops but same situation is also with other brands like Toyota / Nissan etc. that they don't do much with regards to the scheduled service and expected oil + filter change. What they do in most cases is, they just refill the old oil with the new one to the top.
I have many close friends (also happened to me twice with previous cars) who did the check immediatelly after they got back home from the dealership and they found that nothing was done - old black oil / old filter. In most cases, it is an issue of the individual mechanics working there, than the whole shops...
I just got this message about the certified MB dealership where I was last time for oil change, that they did nothing on my friends car GLC43 AMG. So he escalated it to the MB central and the shop had to do the change again monitored with cameras, which were newly installed there. The records were than sent to him for the check...

It is very sad.

What is the situation overseas ? Have U guys ever checked when U got back home from the shop if your service was really done ??

Not a GLC but same issue in Canada although it isn't that common (thankfully), I have my dashcam hardwired so it records everything and they can't unplug it as I secured the connectors and I watch the footage after every service. Learned it the hard way and had to keep my dashcam on when they dinged my door, popped my tire and scratched the trim pieces in my vehicle during service. It is super frustrating that you trusted the dealership with your car and that is how they treat you back.
Here is a video of technicians taking a joy ride recorded by someone else and for another vehicle (that was shared on youtube):

Do your own oil and filter changes if service providers in your country are unreliable. It's very easy to do. Here's a video I found on youtube
