need help to identify origin of loud fan-like noise
Hi folks
My car is a 2019 GLC63s SUV. This morning I pulled off to a traffic light and when the light turned green, the car didn't move even though I released the brake. There was a notification message on the console saying something like "dot" or "pot" but I was in panic mode thus didn't quite get what it was. Being in panic mode (cars following me sounding horn etc) I turned off the car without putting the car in Parking. And then I started the car again and it started moving.
But I then I realized the ECO start/stop button does not light up anymore.
Later only during the day, I noticed the car started having this sort of noise, very loud, it's like fan is going crazy and sounds like a aeroplane taking off.
But I did not smell anything burning.

2003 Cobra / 2018 GLC300 / 2020 GLC63 SUV
It is hard to tell from the video, but if the sound is emanating from the center console it is likely a cooling fan that makes alot of noice on our cars. It's a fairly common complaint if you search the forums. It doesn't do it all of the time. at least in my car, it rarely is noticed.
