Can you disable the touch pad?
I have a 2020 43, and I never use the touch pad in the center console, and hate that even brushing it changes the radio station or whatever. I want to turn it off completely if possible (turning down the sensitivity in the menu isn't enough).
Has anyone managed to disable it? I suppose I could try and take it apart and disconnect a wire, but I wouldn't know where to start. Just seeing if anyone else has done it?

One of the first things that I did on my GLC was to disable the touchpad as I was very annoyed with accidentally changing my radio stations all the time.
Try these youtube video instructions to disable it:
Let me know if it worked.

Thanks, I appreciate you answering! Unfortunately those instructions were for the older COMMAND system, and I have MBUX. I don’t see a way to turn it off via MBUX unfortunately, only lower the sensitivity.

Yeah since MBUX no longer has a jog wheel and the single touchpad is the main physical input method now, it can't be disabled.

This is one of my biggest peeves. Very poor planning when they installed that thing. Every time i grab for my coffee it changes the channel to something random. If someone figures this out, please post how to disable this stupid thing...

To be honest, I find the whole MBUX ergonomically challenging and I'm glad my '19 C63 came with COMAND 5.5 instead of MBUX. They really should have redesigned the entire interior around the touchscreen experience as they have done now with the new S Class, instead of shoehorning MBUX into the COMAND hardware and cabin layout. The thing with changing the radio station accidentally is a general issue. If you are on the radio screen and swipe right either on the steering wheel touchpad or the center console touchpad it changes the radio station instead of moving the UI focus to the next control. So with every loaner that has MBUX I end up changing the radio station every time I'm trying to navigate the UI using the physical controls.
