New here and to MB in general. I just purchased a ‘22 GLC 43 and it came with base sound since the chip shortage has made it hard to get Burmster (sp?). I just purchased the car so not looking to spend too much but do you have any suggestions for upgrades I can do under $1000? I’m located in NYC if that helps.
These plug and play systems seem pretty interesting like the one from MatchUP or Focal, but also seem pricey.
this would replace the 4 speakers, add 2 speakers in the empty a pillar housings, and add a tiny sub to the trunk. Since the sub is so small it can literally go under the luggage compartment so would be completely out of the way. The match speakers are direct plug and play into the stock housing. I do think this should vastly improve stock sound and it’s about all I’m willing to spend/do right now. Next step would be to get a DSP
Prolly install myself, the speakers will be easy since they’re just plug and play, if I can’t figure the sub out I’ll just take it to a shop nearby.
The sub is powered so it’s just about wiring it in.

I did but it’s a waste if you think about it, 2700 for 4 years? You gotta use it OD times to make it actually worth it.

Hey, did you install your speakers yet? Was wondering how it turned out.
Also, have you considered putting the sub under the dash instead of in the back in the storage?
a sub that would fit under the dash would ultimately be too small to really fix our problem. I ended up taking a decent amount of space with a 12” but you could probably go 8 or 10”. I will say after adding the sun the mids and highs have improved significantly since I’m able to keep bass at 0 on the dials. The volume is a bit low of the system but overall I’m happy now.
Nice, glad you're happy with it, the base sound system is definitely lacking! What made you decide to go with just the sub instead of upgrading with the speakers you bought and installing the sub under the storage area? How much was the sub and install?
