Steering Rack Indefinite Backorder (253-460-24-01-80)
Hi all! New to the forum and just wanted to see if anyone had any advice regarding crucial backordered parts.
Steering rack in question is for a 2021 GLC 43 4MATIC SUV. Postponed twice and now on a pending ‘no ETA’ backorder.
Are there any non-OEM aftermarket options for a steering rack that fits my model vehicle?
Has anyone had any success escalating cases with MB Customer Care? Warehouse/PDC office contacts?
4 months into my CPO and more than half of the time I have not driven the car!

maybe start looking around junk yards for a wrecked one you could get the rack off of. Parts in general are getting hard to come by, even when you find them, costs and shipping have soared. Hope you get it resolved soon.
