Modalworks Intercooler and Transmission Cooler GLC63

Apologies in advance for the long post.
After getting a rock I'm my front HX a few months ago, I decided to upgrade to the Modalworks front HX and also add the transmission cooler (TC).

I normally do all my own work but I don't have the proper coolant bleeding equipment and also wanted to do a full transmission coolant flush with a new OEM pan. I had Bryant at Benz Only Garage in NorCal do the work as a referral from Modalworks since he has done a MW cooler install on a C63 already. Overal, the install was easy (per Bryant) and could have been done in one long day. We did run into one small issue that forced us to break up the install to two separate appointmenta. One of the AN fittings on the transmission cooler hose was leaking. Modalworks was kind enough to overnight a pack of circle seals so we could compete the install. Anyone who's worked with AN fittings before know they're far from perfect, so now MW's fault. Due to my need for excess, I opted to order custom trans cooler hoses with heat shieldwd wrap and heat shrink at the fitting connections. Totally overkill. But this also allowed me to drive the car with only the front HX installed. Unfortunatel, I did not grind out any IAT data to share. I did observe the average transmission temps on the dash. With OEM cooling, trans temps would average between 176-180*F. With the HX only, the average temps dropped a full 10*F to 168-172*F.
After the transcooler was completed, I immediately noticed a huge difference on the 30 min drive home. Most of the drive is on streets, stoplight to stoplight. The trans temps never in reaswd passed 90*F, the icon color stayed blue the entire drive home. Over the next couple thousand miles, that is now the new normal, trans temps always stay in the blue under normal driving conditions. When idling for a long time like at a drive thru or in the staging lanes at the track, the temps will rise the normal white don't, but I've never seen temps past 150*F. crazy. The only downside to this is you can't launch the car when the temps are still blue. Not an issue at the track since there's plenty of idle time to get temps up. You just won't get to race start launch that BRZ at the first stoplight you hit, bummer.
Now on to the IATs since that was what this system was designed for, lower IATs. Again, due to crappy weather lately I haven't been able to collect much data. I got one full 1/4 mile pass in November, but it's enough to compare against a few older runs on a stage 1 setup. Data is in the pics below. I know it's not apples to apples but this is the best I can provide for now, I will add more data once the weather improves. So take it easy on the comments. To sum it up, OEM Colling saw an average of a 24*F rise from staging to end of run. The MW cooling, the temps actually decrease after a couple gears then slowly climb back up to a net 0 gain in IATs throughout the run.

Props to Benz Only Garage IG - mercedesbenzdoc

Install that rock screen!!

Perfect fitment

Shameless, but necessary plug:
Modalworks for the awesome parts and service, BenzOnlyGarage (@mercedesbenzdoc) for the install, and @theflexwraps for the OEM Night package wrap done at the same time the cooling system was installed.
