Negotiating Dealer Markup
I initially ordered my GLC 43 Coupe in Sep of last year and back then everything had a markup. For my car, the agreed price had a $2,500 markup so not the worst but the price to pay at the time. I paid $3k to hold the car and will cover the rest when the car arrives next month (finally). The thing is, the GLC 43 Coupe they have there (and other dealers) no longer has any markup with it. Most the markups seem to be going away in general, as well. Can I negotiate no markup for this car or since we already agreed on the price, am I locked in? What would be the best way to approach it? Thanks for the help, can't wait to finally get it!

You can always negotiate, and now the market has softened a bit and the only car pretty much over MSRP is AMG G63’s. Two ways to look at it you agreed in principal on the price with your dealer, and if the market was crazy hour and they asked you for a 5k ADM you would say hell no as I would too. Think it’s all about how you ask with your dealer if you have a relationship, but since you ordered the car and it’s what you want you’re kinda stuck. But asking doesn’t hurt and ask for MSRP worse case is they say no good luck.
