Consdiering a CPO 2018 AMG GLC 43
I have always been a BMW guy and its time to upgrade my 328 xDrive and want to get something a little more family friendly since I have 2 kids now.
So, at first, I found a CPO 2020 BMW X3 M40i with close to 38k miles for 46K then I happened to just check out my local MB dealership and they happened to have a 2018 CPO AMG GLC 43 with only 30K for 41K. Both cars seemed to get the same service before going on sale (both have brand new Front/Rear Brakes, and both have 4 new tires). I know interior wise the X3 will be better since its newer but the 10K lower miles on the GLC 43 for a lower price are is also a plus on that side. I plan to extend the CPO on either car I go with aswell.
Both are very good examples of their respective car and in either case, I have a local Euro Auto shop ive been going to for years to do a PPI just torn on which to go with at this point.
In terms of comparing the 2 vehicles, the X3 will feel more spacious, especially in the second row. I have 2 young kids myself and have certainly appreciated the 2nd row space and the cargo room in the trunk. In terms of drive, have you had a chance to test drive both? The X3 M40i will also be the more powerful between the 2 with a firmer drive as well, so may be something to consider in terms of ride comfort. In terms of long term ownership, I know there are several long mileage M40is with happy owners on the BMW forums, not sure about the GLC 43s long term ownership. Hope this helps....
