GLC63 M177 Ignition Coils - WTF??
What's up everyone- have a 2019 GLC 63 with the old style ignition coils which is part number A177 906 9500. The newer updated part number is A 177 906 0206, NO ONE seems to have them in stock. MB dealers, online, etc. Some claim to have them but when added to cart or ordered it is cancelled.
Had a misfire issue in cylinder 1 that keeps coming back from time to time, so wanted to change the plugs and coils. On a EC Stage 1 tune FYI. I can tell the car is also losing power up top as the 60ft, 1/8 mile time and mph is on point based on comparisons with others; but the overall mph is about 3-4 mph off where it should be. I'm going to call Mercedes to find a try and find a solution on Tuesday after the holiday for these damn coils.
FYI, the coils for the M177 engine are under extended warranty for I think 10 or 15 years and 150,000 miles. To issue a warranty for all these M177 engines they know those coils are fxxxked up.
Any luck or recommendations on where to get these??

This info was helpful. Thanks! Adding a comment... My '19 AMG GLC63 w 40k miles puked one of the DELPHI A177 906 9500 coils. Fortunately, I was able to source one (DELPHI A 177 906 0206) at a local stealer. The only one they had in stock. ~$220. I'm going to put in an order and keep one on hand. FCP Euro has them. The scan tool indicated Cyl 5 as bad. Probably the easiest one to swap out. P.S. MB USA told me my car was not included in the extended warranty... funny how the old P/N was installed on my car... no help from them.

I meant MB as was discussed in the thread above. It was also covered under my extended via Fidelity. So while my SA didn’t charge me personally for the repair. It wasn’t covered by a MB known defect extended warranty. That’s all I was getting at.
