Glc 63s - Tunning worth it? Just exhaust?

Hi Guys,

1 - for a 2020/2021 glc 63s, what are your experiences from “tunning” ?

2 - I would say only the exhaust? But is this worth? Does it make any difference?

3 - the maximum I would be doing is the remapping with a new exhaust, what are you thoughts?

thanks

Really depends on your budget. Typical gains are about a full second in the quarter mile with just tuning. Your car will need not just the ECU tuning but also the CPC tuning. Think of it as ECU1 and ultimately ECU2. Prices can range quite a bit based on vendor, but highly recommended. You can also do the Transmission or "TCU" tune, but the gains aren't as great as the ECU/CPC so some don't do it because it is expensive. Exhaust is mainly just sound, the AMG performance exhaust actually flows pretty well. You would maybe gain 10hp or so.

I'd say keep stock exhaust components and get the ECU/CPC tune. You won't be disappointed.

I have a 2019 GLC63s with a Renntech ECU tune and Renntech Downpipes. The tune made the car feel faster and smoother. Debatable if the cost of the tune is worth the small increase. Downpipes made the car loud. I did everything together so not sure what the difference would have been if I only did a tune vs downpipes

I do not have any numbers, but the car definitely felt a lot faster and passengers noticed it too.
