Issue with steering and Active Assist Systems on GLC 43 x253
Hi everyone,
Yesterday, I picked up a GLC 43 x253 with less than 4800 miles, but I'm facing a worrying issue. Whenever I’m at a full stop and turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, it feels fine until it reaches the end. However, if I then accelerate very slowly, I notice I can push the steering wheel a bit further. When I do this, all the active assist systems (like active steering assist, lane-keeping assist, etc.) suddenly become inoperative, and I get a warning message.
The systems stay disabled until I turn the engine off and on again.
Before buying it, I had a private inspector checking every bit of the car and everything was perfect!
Has anyone else experienced this or have any advice on what might be causing it?
I am very worried about this that it took away all the joy of buying a new car.
